The bank is registered under the Haryana Cooperative Societies Act, 1984. The Panchkula Central Cooperative Bank Ltd. (PCCB) was formed on 31 December 1995 after bifurcation from the Ambala District Central Cooperative Bank (DCCB).
The bank functions at the intermediary level of the three-tier Cooperative Credit Structure, with the Haryana State Cooperative Bank (Haryana StCB) at the State/Apex level and Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS) at the grassroots level. PCCB has obtained a banking license from the Reserve Bank of India, and its service area is limited to Panchkula District.
